Highway 103 Work to Proceed

Part of Highway 103 is getting a facelift.

The province is repaving nearly seven kilometres of Highway 103, from Indian Lake Bridge to just west of Ingramport River.

The work, worth $1.4 million, will be completed by Aug. 31.

"We are building Nova Scotia's future with important investments in our road and bridge infrastructure," said Michael Baker, Minister of Transportation and Public Works.

Chapman Bros. Construction Ltd. was awarded the tender to complete the work.

The Department of Transportation and Public Works highways division manages more than 23,000 kilometres of roads in Nova Scotia. It maintains an inventory of 3,800 bridges and operates seven provincial ferries. Staff provide services from four district offices located in Bridgewater, Bedford, Truro and Sydney.
