Tribute to John Savage

Premier John Hamm paid tribute to the late John Savage. The former premier passed away today following a lengthy illness.

"For close to 30 years, I knew John Savage, first as fellow physician and, in later years, as a colleague in the legislature," said the premier. "History will remember John Savage, as I do, for always trying to do what was right."

The premier expressed his condolences to the Savage family.

"Genesta and I join with all Nova Scotians in sending our deepest sympathies to the Savage family," added the premier.
