AGRICULTURE/FISHERIES--CXN--New Provincial Fisheries Representative for Yarmouth Area
Jonathan Lowe has been named the fisheries representative for the Yarmouth area, the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries announced today, May 13.
Mr. Lowe is originally from the Liverpool area and has a master's degree in science from Acadia, specializing in aquatic biology and fisheries modeling. He also has a French degree from the Universite Sainte-Anne. He has experience working on projects involving aquaculture, oil and gas, and agriculture issues.
He is a member of the Nova Scotia Department of Environment and Labour Steering Committee for Provincial Water Quality Objectives and Modeling and sits on many other boards and commissions. He is also a past director of the Native Council of Nova Scotia, Annapolis Valley Region.
