TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--Tender for Northfield Road Advertised

Motorists on the Northfield Road in Lunenburg County should have a safer and smoother journey this summer.

The tender to repave about six kilometres of the road was advertised on May 7.

"This government said it would increase the amount of dollars spent on highways. That is just what we've done," said Michael Baker, Minister of Transportation and Public Works. "Strong roads and bridges are important underpinnings for a strong economy and a healthy community."

The section of road to be paved runs from Pine Grove Road northerly to Mossman Road.
