TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--Spring Weight Restrictions Lifted in Hants County

A road in Hants County will be the first one to see the removal of spring weight restrictions.

The Department of Transportation and Public Works is lifting spring weight restrictions on a portion of Trunk 1 in Hants County at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, April 24. The road affected is at exit 3, Connector Road, westerly to the entrance of the Mount Uniacke Business Park, about 1.8 kilometres.

Restrictions for trucks are announced each year during the spring thaw period to help protect roads that are weakened by wet, mild weather.
