Congratulations Jean Charest

Nova Scotia Premier John Hamm today congratulated Jean Charest on securing a majority government in Quebec's general election on April 14.

"I have known Jean Charest for many years and I know he will serve the Quebec people with determination, pride and respect," said the premier. "I look forward to working with him on issues of mutual concern to the people of Quebec and Nova Scotia respectively. Mr. Charest's knowledge and understanding of Canada will serve Quebecers well."

Premier Hamm sent a letter of congratulations to Mr. Charest first thing this morning.
