TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--Traffic Advisory, Flooding Update for Various Counties
The following is a partial update on road and bridge closures and reopenings in various counties, due to flooding, as of 4:30 p.m., Friday, April 4.
Drivers are asked to use caution on all roads and bridges and obey all traffic signs and barricades.
The Department of Transportation and Public Works appreciates your patience as road conditions return to normal.
ANNAPOLIS COUNTY:
Highway 101, from Exit 22 at Annapolis to Exit 24 at Bear River, will be opened to traffic by 5 p.m. today, April 4.
GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY:
Two sections of the Antigonish Guysborough Road, in the Roman Valley area, are reopened and are passable with caution. Other sections of this road, in the Intervale area, are closed. A detour is in place.
Sutherland's Bridge on Route 348 in Lower Caledonia is closed for repairs until further notice. A detour is available on Route 347 or Route 374.
HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY:
The following roads and bridges are closed: Route 224 at Elmsvale, detour on Higginsville Road and Barron Road; Wyse Road in Musquodoboit, Sibley's Bridge closed; and Elderbank/Cooks Brook Road in Middle Musquodoboit.
The following are reopened: Route 357 at Crawfords Bridge in Chezzetcook; John Grant Back Road in Middle Musquodoboit; and Dillman Road in Musquodoboit.
KINGS COUNTY:
The following roads and bridges in Kings County are closed:
Harbour Road, Route 359, in Halls Harbour, detour on West Halls
Harbour Road; and Gaspereau River Road in Gaspereau, detour on
Highway 101 or Davidson Street.
