EMERGENCY MEASURES ORGANIZATION--Application Forms for Nova Scotians Affected by Flooding

Flood-affected residents throughout the province will be able to obtain disaster financial assistance application forms and information at their local municipal office beginning today, April 4. The deadline for claim submissions is Monday, May 5, at 4:30 p.m.

The province has established a toll-free phone line 1-800-898-7668 (in the Halifax Regional Municipality call 424- 5851) to handle inquiries related to the financial assistance program. This line is staffed on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Wednesdays to Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A copy of the disaster financial assistance application form is also available on the Emergency Measures Organization's Web site at www.gov.ns.ca/emo.
