TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--Traffic Advisories, Update for Northern Nova Scotia
The following is an update on road closures, due to flooding, in various counties in Northern Nova Scotia as of 4:30 p.m. today, April 1.
COLCHESTER COUNTY

Southside Road, Upper Stewiacke area, is closed, and expected to be open later today.

Pembrooke Road, Upper Stewiacke area, is closed, and expected to be open by morning. A detour is available.

Ridge Road, Upper Stewiacke area, is closed until further notice. A detour is available.

Branch Road, Upper Stewiacke area, is closed until further notice. A detour is available.

Brenton Cross Road, Middle Stewiacke area, is closed until further notice. A detour is available.

In the Truro Bible Hill area, various roads are closed. Many may be open later today or tomorrow morning.
CUMBERLAND COUNTY

Route 302, Maccan area, is closed and expected to reopen later today or tomorrow. A detour is available.

Trunk 2, Parrsboro/Southhampton area, is closed and expected to reopen later today or tomorrow. A detour is available.

Smith Road, Napan area, is closed and expected to reopen later today. A detour is available.

Barronsfield Road, River Herbert area, is closed and expected to reopen later today. A detour is available.
PICTOU COUNTY

Route 374, the Stellarton Trafalgar Road, from Lorne to the Sanctuary Gate, is closed until further notice.

Route 376, Lyons Brook area, is closed and expected to reopen later today. A detour is available.

Route 256, Scotsburn area, is closed and expected to reopen later today. A detour is available.
The following is an update on bridges closed due to flooding.
COLCHESTER COUNTY

On Route 336, between Newton Mills and Eastville, two bridges are closed. A detour is available on Southside Road to Route 289, and west to Trunk 2 or Highway 102 at Brookfield.

On Springside Cross Road, near Eastville, the through truss is washed out. A detour isn't necessary since it is a connector road between Route 289 and Route 336.
The following is an update on major culverts.
PICTOU COUNTY
-
A large culvert has backed up and started to undermine Route 374, south of Lorne. The road is closed until the water drops enough for a complete assessment and to assess the stability of the road.

A large timber culvert has washed out along with 20 metres of Route 289, north of the Colchester/Pictou county line.
