TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--Traffic Advisories, Road and Bridge Closures, Update

Following is more information on roads and bridges that have been closed today, March 31, as a result of heavy rain and flooding.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution and use alternate routes. Watch for washed-out shoulders.

Damaged or flooded roads that are not marked can be reported to local bases at 1-888-432-3238.

DIGBY COUNTY

All or parts of the following roads are closed: Old Shelburne; Doty; Fort Point Road; South Range Cross; Sissiboo - South Range Cross to Bear River; Jordontown Cross; Gilbert Cove; Harrington Road; C. Boudreau Road; Thibault Road; Deveau Shore Road, 1.5 km of road washed-out; David Point Road, 1 km of road washed out; Maza Road, gravel section joining Saulnierville Road is washed out; and Hilltown Road, no access to John Comeau Road.

The following roads are passable with extreme caution:
Bonnie Road; Norwood Road; P. F. Comeau Road; 2nd Division Road; and Saulnierville Road.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY:

Flatlake Drive in Haliburton Hills is closed. Detour on Nottingham Drive.

HANTS COUNTY

Trunk 14 east of the Mantua Bridge is closed. The East Uniacke Road at Little Sackville River near the railroad tracks is closed. Trunk 1 at Hantsport near Exit 8 interchange is closed. At Exit 8 of Highway 101, the westbound off-ramp is closed at the Hantsport interchange.
