TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--Heavy Rain Poses Problems for Motorists

Motorists are being asked to drive with caution today, March 31, because of heavy rain.

Crews from the Department of Transportation and Public Works say sections of roads are flooded in many counties across the province and some bridges are closed as a precaution.

Staff will be working non-stop to repair washed-out roads and will monitor roads in case closures are needed.
