A seven-kilometre stretch of roadway in Hants County will get a million-dollar facelift as part of the province's ongoing commitment to road improvements.

Chapman Brothers Construction Ltd., is the successful low bidder on a re-paving project on the Avondale Road, Hants Co. The road will be repaved from Lawrence Road at Miller Creek to Belmont Road in Avondale. The project is worth about $1 million.

Mr. Baker also announced bridge work this summer on the Back River Road Bridge, on Renfrew Road in Hants Co. Willfield Ltd. will be doing bridge repairs worth about $170,000.
