General Recall of Flasks in Gift Packages

In collaboration with the suppliers, the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC) is recalling stainless steel flasks included in the Wiser's Deluxe Canadian Whisky 750 ml gift pack and the Bacardi White Rum 750 ml gift pack.

Testing has shown that placing liquid in either of these stainless steel flasks may cause lead to leach from the flask into the liquid.

The gift packs have been recalled as a precautionary measure as the levels of lead that may leach from the flask could be above federal guidelines. The levels of lead identified do not pose an immediate health risk to consumers.

The recalled gift packs can be identified by the following product codes:

• Wiser's Deluxe Canadian Whiskey 750 ml with flask gift pack
  #591586 and #450049
• Bacardi White Rum 750 ml with flask gift pack #592030

The actual whisky and rum in the glass bottles are not affected.

Customers are asked to return the flasks to any NSLC store for a full refund.
