PREMIER'S OFFICE--Premier Pays Tribute to Bedford Community Leader

Premier John Hamm has paid tribute to the late George Christie, a longtime Bedford community leader.

"Throughout his life, George Christie was a pillar of the Town of Bedford, serving his church and community in so many valuable roles," said the premier, today, Feb. 20. "His contributions were significant, his standards were high, his love of family was unquestioned. On behalf of all Nova Scotians, I would like to send deepest sympathies to his wife Marion and their large extended family."

Premier Hamm attended the funeral service today in Bedford.
