TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--Use Caution on Roads; Stay Home If Possible

Blowing snow is causing reduced visibility on many roads across Nova Scotia.

In Hants and Yarmouth counties, Department of Transportation and Public Works staff are reporting that strong winds have resulted in severe white-out conditions.

In areas of blowing snow, motorists are advised to stay home if possible and avoid driving.

Up-to-date road conditions are available online at www.gov.ns.ca/tran by clicking on Road Conditions and Weather in the top left corner. They are also available by calling 1-800- 307-SNOW (7669) or 902-424-3933 in Halifax.
