NEW WORK

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Dartmouth

Motorists are advised that work is being carried out on the Portland Street interchange on Highway 111 for traffic light repairs on Feb. 12. There may be one-lane closures. Traffic control will consist of arrow boards. Work takes place from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Commercial Street Bridge

Commercial Street Bridge in Glace Bay is reduced to one lane for bridge repairs until Feb. 28. A detour will be available on Brookside Street, Park Street and Catherine Street. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Kavanaugh Mill Bridge

Kavanaugh Mill Bridge on the Kavanaugh Mill Road will be closed until further notice. Traffic control consist of signage. Motorists are asked to take an alternate route.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Canterbury Truss Bridge

Canterbury Truss Bridge on Bellefontaine Road in Middle Porter's Lake is closed until further notice. A detour is available on Route 207, Trunk 7 and Highway 107.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Margaree Harbour Bridge

Crews are working this winter on construction of the new Margaree Harbour Bridge. Motorists using the current bridge should watch for ongoing construction activities in the area. Traffic will be delayed occasionally. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The new bridge should be in service by December 2003. The removal of the old bridge should be completed by September 2004.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Petite Riviere Bridge

Petite Riviere Bridge, Route 331 will be closed for structural replacement and repairs until March 2003. A detour is available by taking Wentzell or Petite Riviere roads.

PICTOU COUNTY: Joudrey Road

The Joudrey Road is closed, except to local traffic, for culvert repairs until further notice. A detour route is available on Louisville Road to Route 6. Work takes place 24 hours a day.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Cabot Trail

Ingonish River Bridge on the Cabot Trail is reduced to one lane for bridge repairs until March 7. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
