CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Commercial Street Bridge

Commercial Street Bridge in Glace Bay will be reduced to one lane for bridge repairs from Jan. 9 to Feb. 28. It will be fully closed from Jan. 13 to Jan. 16, weather permitting. A detour will be available on Brookside Street, Park Street and Catherine Street. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Kavanaugh Mill Bridge

Kavanaugh Mill Bridge on the Kavanaugh Mill Road will be closed until further notice. Traffic control consists of signage. Motorists are asked to take an alternative route.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Bruce Brook Bridge

Bruce Brook Bridge on Route 224 has a one-lane closure for repairs until Jan. 18. Traffic control consists of traffic lights. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Canterbury Truss Bridge

Canterbury Truss Bridge on Bellefontaine Road in Middle Porter's Lake is closed until further notice. A detour is available via Route 207, Trunk 7 and Highway 107.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Margaree Harbour Bridge

Crews are working this fall and winter on construction of the new Margaree Harbour Bridge. Motorists using the current bridge should watch for ongoing construction activities in the area. Traffic will be delayed occasionally. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The new bridge should be in service by December 2003. Removal of the old bridge should be completed by September 2004.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Petite Riviere Bridge

Petite Riviere Bridge on Route 331 will be closed for structural replacement and repairs until March 2003. A detour is available by taking Wentzell or Petite Riviere roads.

PICTOU COUNTY: Joudrey Road

Joudrey Road is closed, except to local traffic, for culvert repairs until further notice. A detour is available on Louisville Road to Route 6. Work takes place 24 hours a day.
