Holiday Message 2002
NOTE: The following is the 2002 holiday season message from Premier John Hamm.
The holidays are a time of wonder, joy and peace here in Nova Scotia, across Canada and throughout the world. They are a time to be thankful for the blessings in our lives and to celebrate with our families and friends.
The holidays are also a time of tradition and custom in Nova Scotia. The people in our province have always embodied the spirit of kindness and love associated with Christmas. This year, may we all continue to share the true meaning of the season by helping those in our society who are less fortunate or troubled.
Let us also remember those who -- for whatever reason -- are without their loved ones during the holidays. Our prayers are with them all.
My wife, Genesta, joins me in wishing you a wonderful holiday and all the best for a peaceful and happy new year. May the blessings of the season be with you now and always.
