Rice Mill Bridge on the Upper River Road in Bear River is closed for repairs until Dec. 20. Traffic control consists of signage. A detour is available on Upper River Road or River Road.

The West Givinea Bridge will be closed for repairs until Dec. 20. A detour is available on Power Lot Road. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Kavanaugh Mill Bridge

Kavanaugh Mill Bridge on the Kavanaugh Mill Road will be closed until further notice. Traffic control consists of signage. Motorists are asked to take an alternative route.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Bruce Brook Bridge

Bruce Brook Bridge on Route 224 has a one-lane closure for repairs until Jan. 10. Traffic control consists of traffic lights. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Canterbury Truss Bridge

Canterbury Truss Bridge on Bellefontaine Road in Middle Porters Lake is closed until further notice. A detour is available on Route 207, Trunk 7 and Highway 107. Local Area Office: 902-893-6194

HALIFAX COUNTY: Shad Bay Bridge

Shad Bay Bridge on Route 333 has a one-lane closure for repairs until Dec. 31. Traffic control consists of traffic lights. One lane is open to traffic 24 hours a day.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Margaree Harbour Bridge

Crews are working this fall and winter on construction of the new Margaree Harbour Bridge. Motorists using the current bridge should watch for ongoing construction activities in the area. Traffic will be delayed occasionally. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The new bridge should be in service by December 2003. The removal of the old bridge should be completed by September 2004.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Petite Riviere Bridge

Petite Riviere Bridge, Route 331, will be closed for structural replacement and repairs until March 2003. A detour is available by taking Wentzell or Petite Riviere Road.

PICTOU COUNTY: Ferrona Bridge

Churchville Road to River Road in Churchville and East River West Side Road in Eureka are closed for repairs to the Ferrona Bridge until Dec. 20. Motorists are requested to use an alternate route. The roads are closed 24 hours a day.

PICTOU COUNTY: Joudrey Road

Joudrey Road is closed, except to local traffic, for culvert repairs until further notice. A detour is available on Louisville Road to Route 6. Work takes place 24 hours a day.
