TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--Replacement Coming for Petite Riviere Bridge

The Petite Riviere Bridge is being replaced.

Ron Russell, Minister of Transportation and Public Works, expects a new panel bridge to be installed across Petite Riviere by March 2003.

"This is good news for motorists along Route 331," said Mr. Russell. "It's also important to the surrounding communities."

The bridge was struck and knocked into the river by a commercial vehicle in late November.

A detour is available by taking Wentzell or Petite Riviere roads.
