Highway 107 at the Lake Echo Overpass Structure will have a one lane closure for joint replacement from Oct. 21 to Oct. 23. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Bruce Brook Bridge
Bruce Brook Bridge on Route 224 will have a one lane closure from Oct. 21 to Dec. 15 for repairs. Traffic control will consist of traffic lights. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: Kerr's Bridge
Kerr's Bridge -- 2.3 kilometres south of the Millbrook Road on Route 289 in Union Centre -- will be closed 24 hours-a-day from Oct. 21 to Oct. 25 for bridge rehabilitation. A detour is available via the Millbrook Road, G. MacKenzie Road and the Montreal Road.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Trans-Canada Highway 104
Trans-Canada Highway 104, from Pictou/Antigonish county line easterly 5.1 kilometres toward Antigonish, is reduced to one lane for road repairs until Oct 31. Traffic control consists of a pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Canso Causeway
Canso Causeway, between the Antigonish/Guysborough county line and the Canso Canal Bridge, is reduced to one lane for repaving. Work takes place overnight until Oct. 19. Motorists can expect delays of between 10 and 30 minutes. Motorists can call the toll- free highway information line at 1-866-720-2800 for expected delays.

Trans-Canada Highway 104, from Trunk 4 at Auld's Cove to the Canso Causeway, is reduced to one lane for repairs weekdays until Oct. 31. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons and a pilot vehicle. Motorists may encounter delays of up to 30 minutes. CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 4
Trunk 4 (Sydney-Glace Bay Highway) from Reserve Mines to the Gardiner Highway intersection has a full lane closure for cold planing and paving. An alternate route is available via Centreville Road. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays. The project is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Folly River Bridge
Folly River Bridge on Trunk 4 is undergoing deck replacement. Lane closures are in effect between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily and weekends as required. Vehicles exceeding the maximum load width of 3.5 metres must use exits 11 and 12. The project is expected to be completed by Nov. 30.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Route 289
Route 289 is reduced to one lane for piping, ditching, cold planing and repaving from the Brookfield railway crossing, easterly 6.4 kilometres. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons, flashing lights and a pilot vehicle. Work takes place between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

Brookside Road, between Trans-Canada Highway 104 and Mountain Lee Road, is reduced to one lane for pulverization, gravelling and repaving. Traffic control consists of signs, flashing lights and traffic control persons. Work takes place between 6 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

Canterbury Truss Bridge on Bellefontaine Road in Middle Porter's Lake is closed until further notice. A detour is available on Route 207, Trunk 7 and Highway 107.

HANTS COUNTY: Enfield and Elmsdale
Section 1 -- Wilson Road in Enfield, from Alderney Drive to Daun Avenue, is reduced to one lane for road repairs.
Section 2 -- Hemlock Drive in Elmsdale, from Endale Drive to Civic #35, is reduced to one lane for road repairs.
Traffic control consists of traffic control persons. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

Ryans Creek Bridge on the Mosher Road in Admiral Rock is undergoing bridge repairs. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons and signage. Motorists can expect long delays. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is expected to continue until Oct. 25.

Trunk 1, from Uniacke Mines Road to Lakelands-South Rawdon Road, is reduced to one lane for stripping and repaving. Traffic control consists of cones, barrels and traffic control persons. Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Margaree Harbour Bridge
Crews are working this fall and winter on construction of the new Margaree Harbour Bridge. Motorists using the current bridge should watch for ongoing construction activities in the area. Traffic will be delayed occasionally. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The new bridge should be in service by December 2003. The removal of the old bridge should be completed by September 2004.

KINGS COUNTY: Tufts Hollow Bridge
Tufts Hollow Bridge on Bridge Street in Kingston, between Trunk 1 and Ward Road, will be undergoing bridge deck repairs. Traffic is reduced to one lane. Traffic control will be provided by temporary traffic signals. Repairs will continue until Oct. 31.

Route 289, from the intersection of Salter Road southerly, will be reduced to one lane for paving. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m and is expected be completed by Oct. 31.

The westbound lanes of Trans-Canada Highway 104 have a lane closure for cold planing, repaving and bridge rehabilitation from the end of twinning east of Exit 25 to the Trans-Canada Highway 106 overpass, including ramps. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Oct. 25.
