Aikens Bridge, on the Afton Road will be closed to traffic to allow for bridge repair from Sept. 17 to Sept. 24. This will be a 24 hour a day closure. Access to Afton Road from North Riverside Road.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Canterbury Truss Bridge
Canterbury Truss Bridge on Belfontaine Road will be closed to traffic to allow for bridge repair from Sept. 19 to Oct. 4. Detour is marked by signage. Work takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Gillis Cove Bridge
Gillis Cove Bridge on the Orangedale/Iona Road will be closed from Sept. 13 to Sept. 30, for structural replacement. This will be a 24 hours a day closure. A detour is available from the Orangedale/Iona Road through MacIvor to Portage Road.

KINGS COUNTY: Melanson Overpass
The Melanson Overpass on Highway 101 will be undergoing repairs from Sept. 16 to Oct. 11. Two lanes of through traffic will be maintained. Traffic will be slowed through site. Traffic control consists of lane narrowing and signage. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Bridgewater
King Street North between Victoria Road and Starr Street will be closed to traffic to allow for bridge repair from Sept. 16 to Oct. 4. This is a 24 hour a day closure. A detour is available by taking Victoria Road, York or Starr Street.

REGION OF QUEENS MUNICIPALITY: Deep Brook Bridge
The Deep Brook Bridge on the New Elm Road in Pleasant River will be closed from Sept. 16 to Sept. 27 for bridge replacement. This is a 24-hour a day closure. A detour is available by taking either Route 210 and 325, Route 208 and 325, or Trunk 8.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Trans-Canada Highway 104
Trans-Canada Highway 104, from Pictou/Antigonish County line easterly toward Antigonish 5.1 km will be reduced to one lane for road repairs until Oct. 31. Traffic control will consist of a pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

ANTIGONISH/GUYSBOROUGH/INVERNESS: Trans-Canada Highway 104
Trans-Canada Highway 104, from Trunk 4 at Auld's Cove, easterly to the swing bridge will be reduced to one lane for gravelling and subgrading until Oct. 31. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons and pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Route 337
Route 337 will have lane closures for upgrading, gravelling and repaving from 500 metres south of Mahoney's Beach Road, northerly four kilometres. The Ogden Brook Bridge will also be repaired. Traffic control will consist of a pilot vehicle and traffic control persons. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 125
Highway 125 from Exit 6, at Sydney River, to Grand Lake Road will have a lane closure for cold planing and repaving. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons. Work will start at 7 p.m. each evening and finish at 6 a.m. on weekdays, 10 a.m. on Saturdays, and 11 a.m. on Sundays. The project is expected to be completed by Oct. 15.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 4
Trunk 4 (Sydney-Glace Bay Highway) from Reserve Mines to the Gardiner Highway intersection will have a full lane closure for cold planing and paving. Alternate route available via Centerville Road. Work will start at 6 a.m. and finish at 8 p.m. on weekdays. The project is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Folly River Bridge
Folly River Bridge, Trunk 4 will be undergoing deck replacement. Lane closures will be in effect between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily and weekends as required. Vehicles exceeding the maximum load width of 3.5 meters are to use exits 11 and 12. The project is expected to be completed by Nov. 30.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Route 289
Route 289 will be reduced to one lane for piping, ditching, cold planing and repaving from the Brookfield railway crossing, easterly 6.4 kilometres. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons, flashing lights and a pilot vehicle. Work takes place between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Brookside Road
Brookside Road, between Trans-Canada Highway 104 and Mountain Lee Road, will be reduced to one lane for pulverization, gravelling and repaving. Traffic control will consist of signs, flashing lights and traffic control persons. Work will take place between 6 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Route 204
Route 204 will be reduced to one lane between Salem and Little River for gravelling, repaving and culvert replacements. Work takes place between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Sept. 27.

DIGBY COUNTY: Highway 101
The Bear River Bridge on Highway 101 will be reduced to one lane for repairs. Traffic control will be provided by traffic lights. The lane closure will be in effect 24 hours a day and is expected to end Sept. 27. .

The Aikens Bridge on the Afton Road will have a weight restriction of five tonnes until further notice. An alternate route for truck traffic is available by taking Cross Road and North Riverside Road.

The Antigonish-Guysborough Road will be reduced to one lane between Glencoe Road and Heatherton Road for grading and gravelling. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons and a pilot vehicle. Work takes place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Sept. 16.

Highway 107, between Exit 21 and Trunk 7 at Musquodoboit Harbour, will be reduced to one lane for repaving. Traffic control will be provided by cones, barrels, flashing light units and a pilot vehicle. Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

PICTOU COUNTY: Trans-Canada Highway 104 Westbound
The westbound lanes of Trans-Canada Highway 104 will have a lane closure for cold planing, repaving and bridge rehabilitation from the end of twinning east of Exit 25 to the Trans-Canada Highway 106 overpass, including ramps. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is expected to be completed on Sept. 27.

West Branch Road will have a lane closure for pulverization, gravelling, cold planing and repaving from Trunk 6 at River John to MacKay Road. The work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is expected to be completed on Sept. 20.

Petite Riviere Bridge, Route 331 will be closed for structural replacement and repairs effective immediately until further notice. Detour is available by taking Wentzell or Petite Riviere Road.

Potanoc Street will be closed between West Street and Trunk 8 in Milton until Sept. 16 to replace wear surface. A detour is available on Bridge Street. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Trunk 4, from St. Peter's to Soldiers Cove, will be reduced to one lane for repaving and patching. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons. Work will take place between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

Highway 103, between Sable River Bridge and Jordan Falls Bridge, will be reduced to one lane for resurfacing. Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Sept. 16.

Seal Island Bridge will have a lane closure for deck replacement. Traffic control will consist of traffic lights. Work will take place 24 hours a day and is expected to be completed by Oct. 15.

Trans-Canada Highway 105 will be reduced to one lane in two sections, one in South Haven and one in Bucklaw, for cold planing and asphalt repaving until Sept. 28. Traffic control consists of control persons. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
