Tenders Called in Three Counties and One Regional Municipality

Tenders have been called for road work in Hants, Kings and Pictou counties and Halifax Regional Municipality.

The tender in Hants County is for repaving of two sections:

Section 1: Windsor Back Road, from Trunk 14 to Trunk 1, about 5.8 kilometres.

Section 2: Avondale Road, from Lawrence Road to last year's paving, near Mantua Bridge, about one kilometre.

This tender closes on Sept. 6 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

The tender in Kings County is for gravelling and paving of four sections:

Section 1: Andrew Drive, from Route 221 to Mary Avenue, about 0.2 kilometres.

Section 2: Mary Avenue, from Andrew Drive to the end of the cul- de-sac, about 0.4 kilometres.

Section 3: Anthony Avenue, from the cul-de-sac easterly about 0.4 kilometres.

Section 4: Kaiser Drive, from Mary Avenue to Anthony Avenue, about 0.1 kilometres.

This tender closes on Sept. 6 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

The tender in Pictou County is for repaving, paving and bridge rehabilitation of two sections:

Section 1: Route 289, from Salter Road southerly about 6.4 kilometres.

Section 2: Glen Forest Drive, from West River Road to the end of the road, about 0.4 kilometres.

This tender closes on Sept. 6 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

The tender in the Halifax Regional Municipality is for replacement of about 600 metres of chain link fence on School Avenue in Fairview.

This tender closes on Sept. 10 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
