Tenders Called in Four Counties and Two Regional Municipalities

Tenders have been called for road work in Colchester, Hants, Inverness and Richmond counties, and Cape Breton and Halifax regional municipalities.

The tender in Colchester County is for replacement of the deck of Folly River Bridge on Trunk 4.

This tender closes on Aug. 22 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.


The tender in Hants County is for cold planing and repaving of Trunk 1, from Uniacke Mines Road to Lakelands-South Rawdon Road, about 4.6 kilometres.

This tender closes on Aug. 22 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.


The second tender in Hants County is for ditching, gravelling and paving of two sections:

Section 1: Wilson Road, from Alderney Drive to Daun Avenue, about 0.5 kilometres.

Section 2: Hemlock Drive, about 0.3 kilometres.

This tender closes on Aug. 27 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.


The tender in Inverness County is for upgrading, pulverization, gravelling, paving and repaving of three sections:

Section 1: Trunk 19, starting 0.25 kilometres north of Sandy Gillis Bridge, northerly about 1.14 kilometres.

Section 2: Trunk 19, from Mabou Bridge, northerly about one kilometre, and Highland Avenue, about 0.5 kilometres.

Section 3: Bethel Drive, from Trunk 19 to the end of the cul-de- sac, about 0.5 kilometres.

This tender closes on Aug. 23 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.


The tender in Richmond County is for patching and repaving of various sections of Trunk 4 between St. Peter's Canal Bridge and a point 0.9 kilometres east of Soldiers Cove Road. The sections total about six kilometres.

This tender closes on Aug. 22 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.


The tender in Cape Breton Regional Municipality is for ditching, gravelling and paving of three sections:

Section 1: Nicklewood Drive (and a portion of Ryan Street), from Ryan Street, southeasterly about 0.7 kilometres.

Section 2: Oakland Drive, Calmar Drive, Westdale Drive and Waterville Drive at Howie Centre, totalling about one kilometre.

Section 3: Franklyn Drive (and a portion of Evergreen Drive), from the end of the pavement to the end of the road, about 0.5 kilometres.

This tender closes on Aug. 23 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.


The tender in Halifax Regional Municipality is for paving of four sections:

Section 1: Foxwood Crescent, from Minesville Road to the end of the road, about 0.6 kilometres.

Section 2: Stoney Creek Drive, from Two Rivers Drive to Riverfront Court, about 0.1 kilometres.

Section 3: Riverfront Court, from Stoney Creek Drive to the end of the cul-de-sac, about 0.1 kilometres.

Section 4: Stillwater Court, from Two Rivers Drive to the end of the cul-de-sac, about 0.1 kilometres.

This tender closes on Aug. 27 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
