Tenders Called in Three Counties

Tenders have been called for road work in Colchester, Kings and Shelburne counties.

The tender in Colchester County is for cold planing, gravelling and repaving of three sections.

Section 1: College Road, from Courthouse Branch Road to Salmon River Road, about 1.7 kilometres.

Section 2: Salmon River Road, from Trunk 4 to Valley Road, about 1.3 kilometres.

Section 3: Brookside Road, from the Trans-Canada Highway 104 on- ramp to Trunk 4, about 0.5 kilometres.

The tender closes on Aug. 2 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

The first tender in Kings County is for repaving of three sections.

Section 1: Trunk 1, from County Home Road to Route 360, about 6.1 kilometres.

Section 2: Victoria Road, from Trunk 1 to Highway 101, about 0.8 kilometres.

Section 3: Orchard Street, from Trunk 1 to the Berwick town line, about 0.4 kilometres.

The tender closes on Aug. 1 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

The second tender in Kings County is for bridge rehabilitation on the Melanson Road overpass on Highway 101, east of Exit 11.

The tender closes on Aug. 1 and work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

The tender in Shelburne County is for construction of subgrade, grading and gravelling of Highway 103, from the existing Highway 103 near Barrington northwesterly about 3.2 kilometres to Barrington River.

The tender closes on Aug. 9 and work is expected to be completed by June 30, 2003.
