N.S. MUSEUM--John Gracie Returns to Sherbrooke for Celebrity Series

John Gracie will return to the Sherbrooke Village Courthouse for the fifth time to perform on Monday, July 22, at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Gracie is a Juno nominee and has won three East Coast Music awards.

He lists the courthouse as one of his favourite places to perform because of the great acoustics and intimate setting of the room. Mr. Gracie recently compared the courthouse to another acoustical wonder, the Octagon, which is part of the Markland Coastal Resort in Dingwall, Victoria Co. He said the two venues are perfect for the singer/songwriter.

Audiences will hear some of the best-loved John Gracie songs, songs from the Gene MacLellan tribute recording and some soon-to- be-recorded new material, written over the past year. This will be a great opportunity for Maritime music-lovers to enjoy an evening with one of Nova Scotia's favourite musical sons.

John Gracie has also been booked to perform two concerts during the seventh annual Sherbrooke Old Fashioned Christmas celebrations in December. Since the evening concert finales have been sold out the last three years, a special afternoon concert is being added.

Tickets for the celebrity concerts are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. More information is available by calling 1-888-743- 7845.
