Tenders Called in Two Counties and One Regional Municipality

TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--Tenders Called in Two Counties and One Regional Municipality


Tenders have been called for road work in Antigonish and Cumberland counties and Cape Breton Regional Municipality.

The tender in Antigonish County is for cold planing and repaving of one section of Trans-Canada Highway 104 from the Pictou County line to Exit 30 at James River, including ramps, totalling about 5.1 kilometres.

The tender closes on July 26. Work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.


The tender in Cumberland County is for micro-surfacing of two sections of Trans-Canada Highway 104.

Section 1: Westbound lanes starting 2.2 kilometres east of Exit 8 to the westerly limits of Cobequid Pass, about 13.8 kilometres.

Section 2: Westbound lanes from the westerly limits of Cobequid Pass to the start of the concrete highway, about 0.6 kilometres.

The tender closes on July 25. Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 15.


The tender in Cape Breton Regional Municipality is for pulverization, gravelling, repaving and asphalt concrete patching on Birch Grove Road, from the end of the 1999 construction to Port Morien, about 5.3 kilometres.

The tender closes on July 25. Work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
