Cease and Desist
The Labour Relations Board announced today, July 3, that it has taken action to end an illegal work stoppage that began July 2.
The complaint filed with the board on July 3 requests that the board issue a cease and desist order against certain employees working on the Triano and the Zebroid of Fishery Products International. The employees are represented by the National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (CAW-Canada) Local 1944, Lunenburg.
The board has issued an interim order directing the employees who are participating in the illegal work stoppage to cease and desist and to return to work for the next scheduled vessel sailing times and to perform their lawful duties as assigned by their employer.
