Canada Day Message

Premier John Hamm is wishing Nova Scotians all the best for Canada Day.

"Canada Day provides a great opportunity to celebrate all that is good about our country," said Premier Hamm. "This July 1st marks Canada's 135th birthday. It is an excellent time to reflect on our achievements as a nation."

In his Canada Day wish, the premier reflected upon the events of Sept. 11.

"Given the tragic events that occurred last September in the United States, we have even more regard for the values of peace and tolerance for which our country is known," he said. "I hope that all Nova Scotians take time on Monday to think about how lucky we are to be part of such a wonderful nation."
