NEW WORK

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Trans-Canada Highway 104 Eastbound

The eastbound lanes of Trans-Canada Highway 104 from Exit 13 to Crows Mills Overpass will have alternating lane closures for pulverization, shoulder work, guardrail installation, cold planing and paving. Traffic control will consist of flashing lights and signs. Work starts June 19 and will take place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The project is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Lynn Mountain Road

Lynn Mountain Road will have a maximum weight restriction of 25 tonnes for concrete and steel bridge repairs. Work will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is expected to be completed by June 28.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Larrys Road

Larrys Road will be chip sealed between Route 316, at Larrys River, and Lundy. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons and a pilot vehicle. Work takes place between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. and is expected to be completed by July 31.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Northwest Arm Drive

The eastbound and westbound lanes of Northwest Arm Drive will be undergoing highway repairs between Main Avenue and Old Sambro Road. Motorists are advised to proceed through the construction zone with caution. Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Trans-Canada Highway 105

Trans-Canada Highway 105 will be reduced to one lane for cold planing, climbing lane construction and paving near Melford, from Exit 3 westerly about three kilometres. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons, signs and flashing lights. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Highway 104

The River Inhabitants Bridge on Highway 104 will be reduced to one lane for steel pile repairs and concrete repairs. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons, signs and flashing lights. Work takes from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is expected to be completed by June 28.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Highway 104

Highway 104 will be reduced to one lane from Exit 46, Route 320, westerly about six kilometres for micro-surfacing. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons, signs and flashing lights. Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is expected to be completed by June 28.

CONTINUING WORK

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Route 201

The Round Hill Bridge will be undergoing structural repairs. Traffic control will consist of signs. The bridge will be closed to loads greater than 21 tonnes. A detour is available on Highway 101 or Trunk 1 between Annapolis Royal and Bridgetown. Work is expected to be completed by July 15.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Route 337

Route 337 will have lane closures for upgrading, gravelling and repaving from 500 metres south of Mahoney's Beach Road, northerly about four kilometres. The Ogden Brook Bridge will also be repaired. Traffic control will consist of a pilot vehicle and traffic control persons. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Trunk 16

Trunk 16 will have lane closures for grading, pulverization and asphalt paving from Half Island Cove Road easterly towards Canso. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons and a pilot vehicle. Delays between 15 and 20 minutes are expected. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Country Harbour Ferry

The Country Harbour Ferry, between Isaacs Harbour and Port Bickerton on Route 211, will be out of service for its annual refit. Service is expected to resume June 15, weather permitting.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102 Northbound

Work will consist of concrete deck repairs and shoulder work on the Lakeview Road overpass, Lakeview railroad overpass, Cobequid Road overpass and Waverley Road railroad overpass. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is expected to be completed on Sept. 30.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 103

Little Indian Lake Bridge, on Highway 103 between Exit 5 and Exit 6, will be reduced to one lane for bridge repairs. Traffic control will consist of traffic lights. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is expected to be completed by July 5.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 111

The eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 111 from Exit 6 on Route 207 (Portland Street), easterly to Route 322 (Pleasant Street), including ramps at Portland Street, will be reduced to one lane for repaving until Aug. 2. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons, signs and a pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Route 277 will have a lane closure for ditching, culvert installation and paving from Antrim Road at Carroll's Corner easterly to the Colchester County line at Gays River. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101

Highway 101 at Mount Uniacke will have traffic stopped in both directions for brief periods to allow for blasting. Blasting will occur until June 21. Work normally takes place from noon to 3 p.m.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Oakland Road

Oakland Road will have alternating lane closures for pulverizing and repaving. Traffic control will consist of a pilot vehicle, barrels and traffic cones. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is expected to be completed by June 21.

PICTOU COUNTY: Trans-Canada Highway 104 Westbound

The westbound lanes of Trans-Canada Highway 104 will have a lane closure for cold planing, repaving and bridge rehabilitation from the end of twinning east of Exit 25 to the Trans-Canada Highway 106 overpass, including ramps. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is expected to be completed on Sept. 14.

River Road will have a lane closure for pulverization and paving from the Springville Road to the end of pavement. The work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is expected to be completed on Aug. 31.

West Branch Road will have a lane closure for pulverization, gravelling, cold planing and repaving from Trunk 6 at River John to MacKay Road. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is expected to be completed on Aug. 31.

The Albion Mines Bridge over the East River will be reduced to one lane for bridge repairs. Traffic control will consist of signals. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Aug. 15.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Highway 105, Seal Island Bridge

Seal Island Bridge will have a lane closure for deck replacement. Traffic control will consist of traffic lights. Work will take place 24 hours a day and is expected to be completed by Oct. 15.
