Cease and Desist

The Construction Industry Panel of the Labour Relations Board has taken action to end an illegal work stoppage that began today, June 14. The work stoppage involves some employees of Western Electrics Limited, Dartmouth.

The complaint filed today requests that the panel issue a cease and desist order against certain members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 625, who are participating in the work stoppage.

The panel has issued an interim order directing the members participating in the illegal work stoppage to cease and desist and to return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift.
