TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--Tenders Called in Eight Counties and One Municipality

Tenders are being called for road work in Antigonish, Colchester, Cumberland, Guysborough, Hants, Inverness, Pictou and Yarmouth counties and Cape Breton Regional Municipality.

The tender in Antigonish, Guysborough and Inverness counties is for cold planing, patching and repaving of one section of Trans- Canada Highway 104, from Trunk 4 at Auld's Cove easterly to the swing bridge on the Canso Causeway, about 4.1 kilometres.

This tender closes on June 27. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.

The tender in Colchester, Cumberland and Pictou counties is for crack filling and seal coat of three sections:

Section 1: In Colchester County, Route 336, from Route 289 at Springside to Southside Road at Newton Mills, about 7.2 kilometres.

Section 2: In Cumberland County, Wyvern Road, from Route 321 at River Philip to Wentworth-Collingwood Road at Collingwood Corner, about eight kilometres.

Section 3: In Pictou County, Trunk 4, from Trans-Canada Highway 104 at Broadway to Trans-Canada Highway 104 at Barneys River Station, about 9.9 kilometres.

This tender closes on June 27. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

The other tender in Colchester and Cumberland counties is for bridge rehabilitation in three sections:

Section 1: West Branch Moose River Bridge on Trunk 2, at Moose River, Cumberland Co.

Section 2: Little River Bridge on Route 204, at Little River, Cumberland Co.

Section 3: Upham Creek Bridge on Trunk 6, at Bayhead, Colchester Co.

This tender closes on June 28. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.

The tender in Hants County is for asphalt concrete patching of one section of the northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 102, from Exit 9 to Exit 10, about 14.7 kilometres.

This tender closes on June 28. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

The tender in Yarmouth County is for repaving of one section of Comeau's Hill Road, from Melbourne Road southerly to Black Pond Road, about 5.2 kilometres.

This tender closes on June 27. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.

The tender in Cape Breton Regional Municipality is for widening, curb, gutter and sidewalk construction, and repaving of one section of Trunk 28 and James Street at River Ryan, about 0.7 kilometres.

This tender closes on June 28. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 15.
