Tenders Called in Five Counties

Tenders are being called for work in Hants, Kings, Pictou, Shelburne and Digby counties.

The tender in Hants County is for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving for one section of Route 354, from Route 202 in Gore northerly to Route 236 in Kennetcook, about 5.9 kilometres.

This tender closes on May 30. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

The first tender in Kings County is for cold planing and asphalt concrete repaving for two sections.

Section 1.0: Highway 101, from Gaspereau River Bridge westerly about 4.2 kilometres, including ramps at Exit 10, about 2.8 kilometres.

Section 2.0: Highway 101, from Exit 13 (Trunk 12 at Kentville) westerly to Exit 14 (Trunk 1 at Coldbrook), about 3.8 kilometres.

This tender closes on May 31. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

The second tender in Kings County is for pulverization, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving for one section of Route 358, from Woodside Road northerly to Gospel Woods Road, about 2.3 kilometres.

This tender closes on May 30. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.

The third tender in Kings County is for pulverization, gravelling and seal coat for two sections.

Section 1.0: Saxon Street, from the Middle Dyke Road westerly to the Sherman Belcher Road, about 3.1 kilometres.

Section 2.0: Jackson Barkhouse Road, from the Longspell Road northerly to the Weaver Road, about 2.1 kilometres.

This tender closes on May 30. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 15.

The fourth tender in Kings County is for bridge rehabilitation for one section of Tufts Hollow Bridge, on Bridge Street between Kingston and Greenwood.

This tender closes on May 30. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.

The tender in Pictou County is for replacement of existing truss with a new panel bridge for one section of Upper French River Bridge, on Trunk 4, about 7.1 kilometres east of the intersection of Trunk 4 and Highway 104.

This tender closes on May 30. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 30.

The first tender in Shelburne and Digby counties is for crack filling and seal coat for two sections.

Section 1.0: Forbes Point Road, Shelburne County, from the intersection with Trunk 3 southerly to end of road, about 4.8 kilometres.

Section 2.0: River Road, from Lansdowne to Highway 101, in Digby County, about 6.3 kilometres.

This tender closes on May 30. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 15.

The second tender in Shelburne and Digby counties is for micro surfacing of two sections.

Section 1.0: Highway 101, from the Digby intersection (Exit 26) to Bear River Bridge, Digby Co., about 6.8 kilometres.

Section 2.0: Highway 103, from Sable River Bridge westerly to Jordan Falls Bridge, Shelburne Co., about 14 kilometres.
