PREMIER'S OFFICE--Legislature Pays Tribute to Fallen Canadian Soldiers

Members of the Nova Scotia legislature today saluted four Canadian soldiers killed yesterday in Afghanistan.

The legislature unanimously adopted a resolution by Deputy Premier Ron Russell expressing deepest sympathy to the families and friends of the fallen soldiers.

"These tragic losses were the first Canadian combat deaths since the Korean War almost 50 years ago," said Mr. Russell.

Following the adoption of the resolution, MLAs stood for a moment of silence.
