Counsel Retained

The government of Nova Scotia has retained a lawyer to provide advice on its response to complaints from current and former employees of provincial detention centres. Brian Johnston of the firm Stewart, Mckelvey Stirling Scales will serve as government counsel.

Michael Baker, Minister responsible for the Public Service Commission, met with employee representatives today to listen to their complaints.
