Spring Weight Restrictions Expected March 3
TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--Spring Weight Restrictions Expected March 3
Truckers should take notice: spring weight restrictions for Nova Scotia are expected to be in effect starting March 3.
The restrictions on heavy trucks help protect roads that are weakened by the wet spring weather. Wet and mild weather conditions and lack of frost contribute to potholes and deterioration.
Ron Russell, Minister of Transportation and Public Works, is monitoring the situation daily and will close roads as required by weather conditions.
Advertisements containing a complete listing of roads exempt from spring weight restrictions will be published in major newspapers across the province.
