Commission Begins Review Process
The Provincial Electoral Boundaries Commission has begun the process of reviewing Nova Scotia's electoral boundaries.
The commission is seeking public input on possible changes to the boundaries. A series of public hearings will be held across the province during February and March.
Commission chair Dr. Colin Dodds said there are many considerations when reviewing the province's electoral boundaries. Population, geography, community history and interests, and representation from the Acadian and Black communities are some of the considerations the commission will be looking for input on.
"Our goal is to involve as many people as possible in these hearings," said Dr. Dodds. "Groups and individuals are encouraged to come forward with their views."
Hearing dates and locations will be advertised in newspapers next week.
