Cease and Desist Order

The Construction Industry Panel of the Labour Relations Board announced today, Jan. 29, that it has taken action to end an illegal work stoppage that began today.

The complaint filed today requests that the panel issue a cease and desist order against certain employees of Comstock Canada Ltd. who are represented by the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentice of the Plumbing, Steam Fitting and Pipe Fitting Industry of the U.S. and Canada, local union 244.

The panel has issued an interim order directing the employees, who are participating in the illegal work stoppage at the St. Francis Xavier University Millennium Centre in Antigonish, to cease and desist and to return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift.
