Interim Cease and Desist Order

The Labour Relations Board announced today, Jan. 25, that it has taken action to end an illegal work stoppage that began on Jan. 24. It involves members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 625.

The complaint filed today requests the board to issue a cease and desist order against certain employees of Western Electrics Limited represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 625, in Halifax.

The board has issued an interim order directing these employees, who are participating in an illegal work stoppage, to cease and desist, to return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift.
