TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--Bomb Detonation to Force Route 7 Closure

Traffic on Magazine Hill, on Route 7 (the Bedford Bypass) between Bedford and Dartmouth, will be slowed for 10 to 15 minutes later this afternoon, as RCMP and the Department of National Defence dispose of an artillery shell found within 100 metres of the highway.

Drivers are urged to follow all directions. The military expects to dispose of the shell within half an hour (between 2:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m).
