Condolences for Ritcey Family
Premier John Hamm expressed sadness today on the death of former provincial cabinet minister Gerald Ritcey.
"Gerald Ritcey epitomized public and community service in Nova Scotia," said the premier. "From his work as MLA and minister of the Crown, to his many years as a member of the Sysco board, Gerald Ritcey provided many valuable insights to building a stronger economy in Nova Scotia. His time and talents will be missed."
The premier passed along his condolences to the extended Ritcey family.
"While Gerald Ritcey was a well-known public figure, he was also a dedicated family man, a husband of 59 years to his late wife Mary, a father and a grandfather," concluded Premier Hamm. "On behalf of all Nova Scotians, I express my deepest sympathies to Mr. Ritcey's family on this sad occasion."
