COLCHESTER COUNTY: Great Village Bridge

Due to repairs there will be weight and width restrictions on the Great Village Bridge, Trunk #2, Trans-Canada Highway 104, from Oct. 29 to Oct 30. Traffic control will consist of signs. Work takes place from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

CONTINUING WORK

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Middleton

Highway 101 will have a one-lane closure, on alternating sides, for repaving between Bridgetown at Exit 21 and Lequille at Exit 22 until Oct. 31. Traffic control will consist of a pilot vehicle and flag persons. Highway 1 can be used as an alternative route. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: BIBLE HILL

The Trans-Canada Highway 104, northbound on the Cobequid Pass, will have a one-lane closure for slope repairs at the Great Village River Bridge until Nov. 15. Work takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Bible Hill

Valley Dale Road will have partial closures of up to 30 minutes to erect girders on the New Valley Bridge until Nov 30. Traffic control is supplied. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Upper Stewiacke

Route 289 will have a one-lane closure near Upper Stewiacke for paving and bridge repairs until Oct. 31. Traffic control consists of flag persons and a pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Highway 102 to Highway 101

Exit ramp 4B from Highway 102 to Highway 101 and exit ramp 1K from Highway 101 to Lower Sackville will both have one-lane closures for ramp realignment until Nov. 15. Traffic control will consist of traffic lights. The Glendale/Duke Street Exit of Highway 102 can be used as an alternative route. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Trunk 3

Trunk 3, Little Indian River Bridge (north), will have a one-lane closure for restoration of structure, including guardrail rehabilitation and deck/girder repair until Oct 31. Traffic control consists of lights. A detour on Highway 103 is available. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101

Highway 101 at Mount Uniacke will have traffic stopped in both directions for brief periods in order to allow blasting to take place. Blasting will occur until April 2002. Work takes place from 6 a.m to 7 p.m.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Port Hawkesbury

Trunk 19 from Campbell Road, northerly about 3.6 kilometres, will have a one-lane closure for pulverization, widening, gravelling and asphalt paving until Oct. 31. Traffic control consists of flag persons and a pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: MacLellan's Brook

Eureka Bridge on East River West Side Road will be closed until Nov. 17 for bridge repairs. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes. The bridge is closed 24 hours a day.

PICTOU COUNTY: Route 374

Route 374, the Stellarton/Trafalgar Road, from the railway crossing in Hopewell, southerly to Lorne Station Road and Cameron Bridge, will have a one-lane closure for cold planing, gravelling, asphalt concrete paving and bridge replacement until Nov. 16. Traffic control consists of flag persons and signs. Work takes place 24 hours a day.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Seal Island Bridge, Baddeck

One lane will remain open on the Seal Island Bridge, also known as the Great Bras d'Or Bridge, while crews conduct deck replacement work. The work will take place until Nov. 16. Traffic control will consist of traffic lights.
