ENVIRONMENT/LABOUR--Workers' Compensation Review Committee to Meet in Digby

The Nova Scotia Workers' Compensation Review Committee is holding a public meeting in Digby on Thursday, Oct. 4 . The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. at the Digby Royal Canadian Legion.

For the past month the committee has been booking appointments with individuals interested in workers compensation. It is seeking information on people's experience with the workers' compensation system. The public meeting schedule includes visits to 12 Nova Scotia communities.

The committee is studying 28 questions regarding Nova Scotia's workers' compensation system and is seeking input from those involved in the system as well as from the general public. It will submit its final report to government on March 29, 2002.
