The Nova Scotia Workers' Compensation Review Committee is holding a public meeting in Port Hawkesbury on Thursday, Oct. 4. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at the Strait Area Campus Theatre.

For the past month the committee has been booking appointments with Nova Scotians interested in workers' compensation. It is visiting 12 Nova Scotia communities and has already made five stops including two-days of meetings in Sydney. The committee is seeking information on people's experience with the workers' compensation system.

The committee is studying 28 questions regarding Nova Scotia's workers' compensation system and is seeking input from those involved in the system as well as from the general public. It will submit its final report to government on March 29, 2002.
