TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS -Traffic Advisory

Drivers are advised to use extra care along Highway 101, as a number of construction projects are beginning on the route this fall.

Rock blasting will be common from Mount Uniacke to a site about one kilometre past the Windsor-Hantsport rail overpass, a distance of approximately nine kilometres.

During blasting, traffic will be stopped briefly and then allowed to proceed. Drivers who do not want to experience delays should take Trunk 1 instead.

Work will take place between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and after 6:30 p.m. In addition to blasting, workers are installing culverts and building up the highway for future twinning.

Construction along Highway 101 will continue until June or July, 2002.
