Truro will be the first stop for the Nova Scotia Workers' Compensation Review Committee as it opens a series of province- wide meetings on Monday, Sept. 24, at 9 a.m. The meeting will take place from in Forrester Hall at the Nova Scotia Community College at 36 Arthur Street.
For the past month the committee has been booking appointments with Nova Scotians interested in workers' compensation. The committee is visiting 12 Nova Scotia communities during the next two weeks to seek information on people's experience with the province's workers' compensation system.
The committee is studying 28 questions regarding Nova Scotia's workers' compensation system and is seeking input from those involved in the system as well as from the general public. It will submit its final report to government on March 29, 2002.
