Cease and Desist Order

The Construction Industry Panel of the Labour Relations Board today announced that it has taken action to end an illegal work stoppage which commenced on Aug. 30, involving a number of employees of Bond & Coolen Contracting Limited. These employees are represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 625. They were working at the Sobeys/Walmart Project.

The complaint filed today, Aug. 31, requests the panel to issue a cease and desist order against the workers who are participating in the illegal work stoppage.

An interim order has been issued by the panel directing the workers to cease and desist and to return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift.
