If you are interested in taking a hands-on craft course this fall it is time to register at the Nova Scotia Centre for Craft and Design.
The centre provides quality instruction by well-respected Nova Scotia artisans. There is a wide range of courses being offered from beginner to advanced level in the well-equipped weaving, pottery, woodworking, jewellery, and multi-purpose teaching studios. In addition to weekend and evening classes there are some daytime classes during the week. Courses can range from one- day workshops to extensive training over a 10 week period.
Courses being offered include: Jewellery 101; beginner knitting; Carving An Atlantic Puffin; rug hooking; Dying Wools for Rug Hooking; wood turning, pottery; majolica decoration; weaving harvest baskets; Knitting: Colours - The More the Merrier; calligraphy; leathercraft; hand spinning; stained glass; Beginner Weaving; Oil Glazing; enameling; Handcrafted Rugs; Cards For All Occasions; wooden spoon making; Knitting: A Dabble into Double; scrapbooking; Introductory Colour; lampshades; and papermaking and christmas decorations using natural materials.

The teaching studios are a program of the Nova Scotia Centre for Craft and Design which works to promote and develop craft and design related industries in Nova Scotia.
