Tenders Called in Four Counties
Tenders are being called today, Aug. 29, for road work in Colchester, Halifax, Hants and Pictou counties.
The Colchester County project will consist of one section of construction of stone-filled gabion channel and ditch rehabilitation on the Trans-Canada Highway 104 at the Cobequid Pass, Great Village Bridge, westbound lanes, northwest slope about 0.68 km.
This tender closes on Sept. 13. The work is expected to be completed by Nov. 16.
The Halifax County project will consist of one section of asphalt concrete patching in on Highway 102, northbound lanes from Exit 4 to Exit 5, about 6 km.
This tender closes on Sept. 13. The work is expected to be completed by Nov. 15.
The second Halifax County project will consist of one section of exit ramp reconstruction/realignment-upgrading and asphalt concrete repaving on Highway 102, southbound off-ramp to Highway 101, about 0.5 km.
This tender closes on Sept. 13. The work is expected to be completed by Nov. 16.
The tender for Halifax and Hants counties will consist of two sections of bridge rehabilitation:
Section 1 -- Little River; Trunk 7 about 1 km east of Highway 107 intersection near Musquodoboit Harbour at Little River.
Section 2 -- Highway 102/Route 215 interchange structure on Highway 102 and Route 215 at Exit 10.
This tender closes on Sept. 13. The work is expected to be completed by Nov. 16.
The Pictou County project will consist of cold-planing, gravelling, asphalt concrete paving and bridge replacement in two sections:
Section 1 -- Route 374, from railway crossing in Hopewell, southerly to Lorne Station Road, about 5.6 km.
Section 2 -- Cameron Brook Bridge on Route 374 at Cameron Brook in Hopewell.
This tender closes on Sept. 13. The work is expected to be completed by Nov. 17.
