COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 102

Stewiacke Bridge overpass, northbound at exit 11 on Highway 102 will have alternating lane closures for bridge rehabilitations from Aug. 20 to Oct. 31. Traffic control will consist of Jersey barrier, drums and flashing lights. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and weekends as required.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 104

Highway 104, eastbound, at both the North River Bridge and the Route 311 overpass will have alternating lane closures for bridge and overpass rehabilitation from Aug. 20 to Oct. 31. Traffic control will consist of Jersey barrier, drums and flashing lights. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends as required.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Mineville

The Steel bridge on Candy Mountain Road will have a bridge closure for repairs from Aug. 20 to Aug. 24. Traffic control will consist of signs. Detour signs are in place. Work takes place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: Plain Field Community

Bridge on Route 256 at Plain Field will be closed for bridge replacement from Aug. 20 to Aug. 24. Detour on Scotsburn Road westward to Meadowville Street Road, then on Black River Road to Minto Road and back to Route 256. Work takes place 24 hours a day.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Trunk 4, Big Pond

Trunk 4 from Loch Lomond Road to Glen Albert Road is under construction for upgrading, cold planing, gravelling and asphalt concrete repaving until Oct. 31. There are traffic control and construction signs. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Stewiacke River Bridge, northbound and southbound, 4.8 km north from the Hants County line, will have alternating lane closures for bridge rehabilitation until Sept. 31. Traffic control consists of Jersey barrier, drums and flashing lights. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends as required.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Mines-Bass River Road

Mines-Bass River Road is closed due to culvert washout and collapse. The detour on Mines-Bass River Road is expected to remain in effect until Aug. 31.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Route 209

Route 209 will have a one-lane closure for 6 km for widening, pulverizing, gravelling and paving until Sept. 14. Traffic control by control person. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Trunk 4

Teed Bridge, Trunk 4 over Wallace River, 1 km west of Route 307, will have a one-lane closure to replace expansion joint on the east approach until Aug. 21. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

DIGBY COUNTY: Highway 101, Joggins Bridge

Joggins Bridge on Highway 101 will have a one-lane closure for bridge deck repairs until Aug. 24. Work takes place from daylight to dark, seven days a week.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Highway 102, Fall River to Bedford/Sackville Interchange

Highway 102, southbound lanes, from Exit 5 at Fall River to Exit 4B at the Bedford/Sackville Interchange will have a one-lane closure for micro-surfacing until Aug. 31. Traffic control consists of control persons, cones, flashing lights and barrels. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Highway 102, 103 Overpass to Hammonds Plains Interchange

Highway 102, between the 103 overpass and the Hammonds Plains exit, will have a one-lane closure for asphalt repaving until Aug. 31. Work takes place from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Highway 111

Highway 111, eastbound and westbound lanes, will have one or two lanes closed during construction for micro-surfacing from Exit 4 to the bridge at Lake Micmac/Lake Banook, about 1.3 km, until Aug. 31. Traffic control will consist of cones, flashing lights and barrels. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Possible night-time or weekend work. Hours are subject to change.

Route 215 from New Cheverie Road to Trunk 14 in Brooklyn will have a one-lane closure for chip-sealing until Aug. 31. Traffic control consists of a traffic control person and a pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

HANTS COUNTY: Elmsdale Road Underpass Structure

Elmsdale Road underpass structure Highway 102, Exit 8, is under construction for bridge rehabilitation. Lanes will be reduced to three metres until Oct. 15. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

HANTS COUNTY: Route 236, Georgefield Road, Lattie's Brook

Georgefield Road, from Route 236 at Lattie's Brook, southerly to the East Hants Landfill, will have a one-lane closure for road work until Aug. 31. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons or a pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Port Hawkesbury

The Crowdis Bridge section of the Marble Mountain Road will have a complete closure due to necessary work until Aug.24. The public is asked to use an alternate route.

Trunk 19 from Campbell Road, northerly about 3.6 km, will have a one-lane closure for pulverization, widening, gravelling and asphalt paving until Oct. 15. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons and a pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

KINGS COUNTY: Benjamin Culverts, Black River Road, New Minas

One section of Black River Road will be closed for Benjamin culvert replacements until Sept. 15. Detour by way of Gaspereau River Road and White Rock Road. Work takes place 24 hours a day.

KINGS COUNTY: Highway 101, Three Sections

Highway 101 will have alternating lane closures for three sections of micro-surfacing. One section is from Exit 15 at Berwick, westerly 10 km. The second starts 2 km west of Exit 10 at Hortonville and runs westerly 2 km. The third section runs from Exit 17E to Exit 17W for 2 km. The expected completion date is Aug. 20. Traffic control consists of control persons and pilot vehicles. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Rosebank Bridge

Bridge repairs will take place until Sept. 15. Traffic is reduced to one lane with traffic lights installed. Work takes place 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

RICHMOND COUNTY: False Bay Bridge, Port Hawkesbury

The False Bay Bridge, 0.5 km east of the Trans-Canada Highway 104/Trunk 4 overpass will have a one-lane reduction until Aug. 31 for bridge rehabilitation. Traffic control consists of signing and periodic control by control persons. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Highway 104, Lower River Road, Port Hawkesbury

Highway 104 will have a one-lane closure for two sections from Lower River Road toward St. Peters. The first section is for 6.9 km and the second section is for 2.7 km. Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 30. Traffic control consists of control persons and a pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

SHELBURNE COUNTY: Highway 103, Queens County Line to Sable River Bridge

Highway 103 will have a one-lane closure from Queens County line westward to the Sable River Bridge for cold planing and asphalt repaving until Aug. 31. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Highway 105, Kelly's Mountain, Nyanza

Highway 105 from Kelly's Mountain to Nyanza will have lane closures for cold planing and paving until Aug. 30. Motorists are asked to use caution and expect delays. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Seal Island Bridge, Baddeck

Crews will be painting the Seal Island Bridge on Trans-Canada Highway 105 until late fall. The bridge may have one lane closed for a maximum of three hours per day. The closure will take place during non-peak hours. Traffic control consists of control persons or traffic lights.
